Steven J. Ogilvie is a seasoned criminal defense and civil trial attorney with over 17 years of litigation experience and a deep focus on complex and high-stakes civil and criminal cases. He earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2008, graduating cum laude.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University, where he graduated with High Honors in 2005. Currently, he resides with his wife and two dogs in his home state of Michigan.

Steven has concentrated his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation, handling over 1,000 cases including over 100 civil, criminal, and business court trials. His docket has included some of the most serious criminal offenses, such as first-degree murder, conspiracy, and other violent felonies.

His white-collar experience includes defending over $500 million of Medicare and Medicaid fraud. He has also handled a wide range of major cases, including first-degree murder, constitutional challenges, employment discrimination, and other civil defense matters.

His federal practice extends nationally, including extensive practice in D.C. Superior Court, a $160 million narcotics trafficking case in the Southern District of New York, a $46 million tax evasion and mail fraud case in the Northern District of Illinois, and an intellectual property dispute in California.
